HOW DO I SWAP THE DATE OF MY DRIVING TEST?

✅ Only you, the learner driver can book, change or swap your driving test.

❌️ Driving Instructors, Apps, Your friends or family cannot book, change or swap a driving test for you.

❌️ Driving Instructors cannot view the DVSA booking website at all.

✅ Both learners must agree to the swap.

✅ The swap counts as one of your two permitted test changes.

✅ The swap must be requested at least 10 working days before the earliest test.

✅ Both learners must have at least one change left.

✅ Both learners must have the same type of test (weekday with weekday, weekend with weekend, etc).

✅ You both need to be available at the same time!  

Before you call, have ready...

✅ Your Driving Licence.

✅ Your Booking Reference.

✅ The other learner's Booking Reference.

⚠️ Do not share any other personal details with the other learner. DVSA will not ask for payment details.

❌️The Swap will not happen if the other learner doesn't pick up their phone or either of you fail the security checks

Ready to Call?

1. Call DVSA on 0300 200 1122 (choose option 1). Lines open from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

2. One of you calls DVSA to request the swap.

3. DVSA will call the other learner using the number on their booking.

4. Both confirm agreement to the swap.

5. DVSA completes the swap.
